Dr Stephen Mills is a Board Certified pediatric Dentist and has practiced in Maine since 1987. He achieved board certification in Pediatric Dentistry in 1995. He is currently retired from office work but continues to do clinical dentistry by providing operating room care to several non profit entities in the State of Maine and volunteering occasionally at the Waterville Community Dental Center.
He has been a member of the Academy for Sports Dentistry (ASD) since 1991. A past president and longtime board member, he is a Fellow of the ASD and was awarded the Academy’s Lifetime Distinguished Member Award in 2015. He has served in many capacities for the ASD and currently co chairs the committee for Student Alliances.
Dr. Mills serves on the Board of Directors of the Children’s Oral Health Network of Maine for the State of Maine. Dr Mills was inducted into the International College of Dentists in 2016. He is a member of the ADA, the AAPD, the International Association of Dental Traumatology as well as the ASD.
His current activities beyond dentistry include, watercolor painting, golf, fishing, hiking, exploring wines, and gardening with his wife since 1981, Loretta. He lectures currently for Concord Dental Seminars in addition to trying to take his messages on Sports Dentistry to as many Pediatric Dental Residencies as he can. He has three grown children, Andrew(married to Jeana), Sarah, and Jenny.
