I was educated in the UK (Cheltenham Ladies College) and attended the University of London – Kings College. I worked in clinical dentistry in Switzerland, the UK, and the US.
I have AEGD and Pediatric Specialties from the University of Rochester and was Faculty and Outpatient Pediatric Clinic Director at the Eastman Institute For Oral health. In 2004 I was involved in creating a Multi-Disciplinary University Dental Practice.
I have been involved in oral health education for nurses, medical, and dental students. I now focus on educating the public about the biochemistry of dental disease. I give seminars, write blog posts and articles, consult, and have an online video course.
My passion is to help explain the difference between symptoms and underlying disease. Understanding the natural biochemistry of the mouth allows us to effectively prevent and reverse cavities and periodontal disease. I have written several books including Kiss Your Dentist Goodbye and Mouth Care Comes Clean.
My specialty is helping patients use cost-effective solutions for effective daily home care. I believe oral health is a vital contributor to general health. I was a Founding Member of the American Academy For Oral Systemic Health (AAOSH).
