Bio

Dr. Sultan was raised in East Lyme, CT. After completing his Connecticut public grade school education, Dr. Sultan went on to become an avid UCONN Huskies fan while completing a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Connecticut. Dr. Sultan went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) at the University of Connecticut-School of Dental Medicine, while concurrently completing his Masters of Sciences in Biomaterials in Biomedical Engineering in Farmington, CT. Dr. Sultan completed his pediatric dental residency training at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford, CT (affiliated with the University of Connecticut-School of Dental Medicine), where he received extensive training in treating medically compromised patients, treating patients with special health care needs, sedation, trauma, general anesthesia, and interceptive orthodontics.

Dr. Sultan’s easy-going personality makes going to the dentist fun and stress-free. He strives in providing an atmosphere of positive dental health experiences for children and parents. His focus on preventative care helps his patients have a healthy smile that will last a lifetime. He has and continues to provide his time in educating children in the importance of oral health, but also helping the underserved populations. He has volunteered in multiple programs: Connecticut Mission of Mercy, Give Kids a Smile, Dental Service Trips (Paraguay), where he has provided free dental care for patients in need of treatment. Because of these qualities, Dr. Sultan was voted as a Top Dentist in Connecticut for 2016 and continues to be voted NJ Favorite Kids Doc. Dr. Sultan is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (ABPD); in addition, he is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA), and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD).

Dr. Sultan is married to his loving wife, Sonia, and runs everywhere after his son, Esa. During his days off not cleaning kids’ teeth, he enjoys playing tennis, traveling, and learning more chords on his ‘ukulele.

Fun Facts: Besides talking about teeth and the UCONN Huskies, Dr. Sultan enjoys traveling, playing tennis, golf, skiing, and staying fit (well…trying!).
